As a Supply Chain Management Intern at the Railway Safety Regulator (RSR), you will engage in a structured 24-month internship program designed to provide practical experience in various aspects of supply chain management within the organization. This program aims to enhance your professional skills and prepare you for future career opportunities in the field.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers regarding order statuses, price quotations, and manage open order reports
• Data Management: Perform data entry and analysis to support supply chain projects and decision-making processes
• Inventory Control: Assist in identifying critical inventory issues, evaluating trade-offs between cost and customer satisfaction, and communicating resolutions with internal stakeholders
• Process Improvement: Support the review and enhancement of supply chain management processes and procedures to ensure efficient execution of inventory management transactions
• Project Support: Contribute to the execution of best practice customer support and distribution projects, gathering data to support assumptions and project progression

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• A postgraduate qualification will be advantageous
• Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen
• Prior Internship Experience: Must not have previously participated in an internship program at any public or private institution
